Surface Preparation

Sandblasting can prepare many surfaces for new coatings

  • Remove paint and other contaminants from old damp basement walls to prepare for new chemical waterproofing systems.

  • Roughen existing concrete for a strong bond with new concrete or shotcrete

  • Remove failing paint and rust from metal surfaces. The profile that sandblasting puts on the metal provides “tooth” for the new paint and gives it a great bond.

  • Remove failing waterproofing from old concrete and/or prepare new concrete slabs over finished spaces for new waterproofing systems.
